Jex
A Gex fangame done in a week for GexJam 2024, try to find all the remotes! (psst TVs are warps and so are cabin doors). Download for better graphics/lighting! Mac build is untested.

Edit on 2 Dec 2024: Some refinements and polish are being made to the fantasy level and the movement mechanics, but they probably won't be done for a while. Hopefully we can get the wall-crawling to be cool and good!
Abilities:
Tail bounce - hold jump while in the air to bounce higher when landing
Tongue Grapple - Hold right click then left click when reticle is red to grapple to that point. Only some surfaces are grabbleable.
Wall climb - press F when facing a climbable surface. Indicator on bottom of screen tells you when you can climb. Jump or F to stop climbing.
Controls:
wasd - movement
space - jump
mouse - camera
esc - pause (Twice in web version. Can exit level to hub from here)
F11/alt+enter - fullscreen toggle
shift - tailwhip
hold right click - aim
left click while aiming and reticle is red - tongue grapple
hold jump while in the air - tail bounce
f - climb toggle on some surfaces. See indicator on middle bottom of screen
e - make jex say a line
There's also a secret test level you can find (its pretty boring though)
If you get an error saying the .pck is missing for the html version, try refreshing.

Install instructions
Vulkan is required (unless you run it from command line and force opengl, it'll tell you the command if it can't run)
Mac build is untested. Gatekeeper will block it.
